Food and the Pleasure of Eating with Nishanga Bliss, DSC, LAc

Eating is indisputably one of life's consistent joys and enjoyment is a primary reason we eat. Yet the topic of pleasure is rarely discussed in the nutrition field. Join Nishanga Bliss, DSC, LAc, in an exploration of the connections between food and pleasure. You will learn what factors increase the pleasure of eating, what characterizes people's most pleasurable eating experiences, how flavor influences the pleasure response, and the ways in which the pursuit of gustatory pleasure serves, rather than hinders, our health.

Nishanga Bliss, DSC, LAc, has been studying and practicing holistic health care for over twenty years and was awarded her Doctorate in Nutrition by Hawthorn University in 2014. She is the author of the book Real Food All Year: Eating Seasonal Whole Foods for Optimal Health and All-Day Energy, (https://www.newharbinger.com/real-food-all-year).
